A cabin in the wood (2) – Latvia

Amazing place

Those who know me or are familiar to this blog know how much I love cabins. I already wrote about them here some time ago. Natasza and I are coming back from a short trip in Latvia. Riga, the main city has a lot to offert in terms of architecture. You can meet art deco buidings next to old traditional wooden houses.

Beeing cabin lovers we decided to visit the Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia near Riga. Basically it consists of taking a stroll in the woods and beeing amazed by old cabins from different times and different places of Latvia.

It’s not real wilderness, it’s a museum, but I really wanted to share this pictures here since these cabins are totally related to the outdoors. But I stop here my explanations.

Enjoy.

Biking to Köln

Life, Love and Pink

We have been lucky enough to have an easy start to our fall and it has been pretty mild & not too rainy. We still have to water our plants occasionally (yes, they are still holding on). We decided that in order to enjoy the nice weather and see the fall foliage, we should get on our road bikes. We biked from Düsseldorf to Köln, which is about 45 kilometers one way. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to bike the distance.

Once we got to Köln, we stopped by the Dom.

Then we walked through the crowds down to the Rhein.
